Patterson died as result of hostile action in Babil Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on January 15, 2005.

I want to share with you some of the events that occured on that day, I photographed some of the people who contributed to his wife and child and
attempted to thank them just a little for the sacrafice that Jayton made for his country and for us. Over 500 neighbors and strangers joined the Patterson
family on this day, here are a few of them.
And here are the guys that keep these guys from exceeding their limits!
